COLLABORATIVE PROFESSIONAL DIALOGUE
Bee Inspired sessions are an opportunity for SLT’s and teaching teams to participate in engaging discussions facilitated by MHS where collaborative thinking and sharing of practice enables staff to consider how we overcome barriers to learning which pupils may face.
We will be hosting the following sessions over the next few months. Please come back for further information and how to book a place in the near future.
What is an agile approach to education?
In this session, Manchester Hospital School will share how we adopt an agile approach to responding to pupils’ needs to ensure they receive a high quality education. We will discuss what we believe it means to have an equity mindset and why it is so important when considering ways to make reasonable adjustments in school settings, allowing educators to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that adapts to the evolving needs of its students.
What might a culture of safety and belonging look like?
In this session, we will share ways in which Manchester Hospital School have developed the principles of person centred planning and neuro-affirming practice to create a sense of belonging and safety for all pupils. Our principles of ethical leadership emphasise inclusivity, respect, and collaboration, ensuring that every member of our school community feels valued and heard.
What might make a difference for pupils struggling with poor mental health?
In this session, Manchester Hospital School will share how we use flexible learning to ensure that all pupils experience success regardless of their mental health challenges. This discussion will focus on the difficulties in recognising when a pupil is struggling with their mental health and how important it is to build positive relationships with adults in school.
