Bee Inspired

At Manchester Hospital School, our vision is ‘To be a beacon of excellence, providing high quality education which enables children and young people with medical and mental health needs to achieve and experience success’. We have a highly skilled staff team who work relentlessly to ensure that our pupils right to an education is of the highest quality every day. We teach pupils who have often missed significant amounts of time from school who all have either a medical or mental health need or often both.

We ensure that our pupils receive the highest quality teaching as we adopt an agile approach to education. We are skilled at teaching in different environments, including hospitals, in the home, in public venues and in schools and always consider the pupils needs at the heart of everything we do. Using research to drive forward our commitment to providing the very best education in our complex setting, we are proud to be a ‘beacon of excellence’ for pupils with special educational needs who are experiencing medical and mental health difficulties.

We often present at national conferences or local events where we are asked to share our experiences with colleagues. For more information, please see the section ‘Past events’.

If you would like further information or would like to discuss how we could support an event in the future, please contact the Headteacher, Joanna Beswick at beeinspired@hospitalschool.manchester.sch.uk.
