We teach children and young people at all these different sites in Manchester, remotely, in their own homes and in community setttings.
The School at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital
Children and young people are able to to continue their education while they are inpatients at The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Each pupil receives one to one teaching with a bespoke curriculum, specially created to meet their learning needs and support their recovery.
Leo Kelly School
The Leo Kelly School offers educational provision to young people aged 11-18 whose medical or mental health issues prevent them from attending their home school.
The School at Galaxy House
Galaxy House is a tier 4 in-patient camhs provision for children who are experiencing significant mental health challenges. Up to 12 young people at any one time stay for periods ranging from three to eighteen months.
The School at The Christie
Manchester Hospital School has a school in The Christie.
The school provides education for children from all over the UK who are at The Christie and undergoing Proton Beam Therapy.
Other Hospital Settings
Manchester Hospital School enables children and young people to continue their education while they are in hospital at both Wythenshawe Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital. Each pupil receives one to one teaching with a bespoke curriculum, specially created to meet their learning needs and support their recovery.
